1. Preparation
1.1. Download Configuration Manager CB v1511 binary
1.2. Download Configuration Manager CB v1511 Hotfix KB3127032
1.3. Download WSUS Hotfix KB3095113
1.4. Backup the Configuration Manager/Server and test the backup by trying to recover it
1.5. Install latest Windows updates on Site Server
1.6. Make sure that you are running at least Configuration Manager RTM SP1 Version
1.8. Document and disable all site maintenance Tasks
1.9. If you have a database replica for MP, disable it
- Administration / Site Configuration /Servers and Site System Roles->MP->Properties-> MP Database Tab -> select "Use the site database"
1.10. Test Configuration Manager database upgrade on a SQL Server running the same Version as the Configuration Manager SQL instance
2. Upgrade
2.1. Uninstall Windows ADK 8.x
2.2. Install Windows 10 ADK. Be sure not to install the v1511 Version since there are some issues with this ADK Version. Instead use the original Windows 10 ADK.
2.3. Install WSUS Hotfix KB3095113Configuration Manager Hotfix KB3127032
2.4. Close all runing configuration Manager consoles on the Server
2.5. Start Configuration Manager CB v1511 Installation
2.6. Verify successful Installation (C:\ConfigMgrSetup.log)
2.7. Install Configuration Manager CB v1511 Hotfix KB3127032
3. Post-Upgrade
3.1. Upgrade your secondary sites
3.2. Enable the database replica for MPs
3.3. Reenable the site maintenance Tasks
3.4. Update remote Configuration Manager Administration consoles
3.5. Upgrade Clients
