When creating Reports for Configuration Manager it helps to know the right queries ;) One way to find them is to enable SQL logging of the configuration Manager Administration console so that you can see what queries are run in Background. To do this on the Server go into the registry and set the following registry keys under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SMS\Providers to 1:
SQL Cache Logging Level Logging Level Log Size Mb Then restart the Server, check the SMSProv.log file and search for "Execute SQL=..." line. There you can see what SQL query has been executed. In order to get a list of all collections with the option "Use incremental updates for this collection" enables simple run the following T-SQL query in MS SQL Server Management Studio:
select * from v_collections where RefreshType=4 or RefreshType=6 RefreshTypes=4 : only the option "Use incremental updates for this collection" is enabled. RefreshTypes=6 : the Options "Use incremental updates for this collection" and "Schedule a full update on this collection" are enabled. |
